I have been meaning to write ‘a book’ for as long as I can remember, perhaps since I was as young as 9 or 10. As an avid reader I can recall reading books at that age and feeling a wonderful sense of satisfaction as I leafed through them and discovered new worlds and became absorbed in new characters. I’m not sure if I consciously decided at that time, but I seemed to know that one day I would write a book.
Well a lot has happened and I’ve written many, many things. As of yet I haven’t written that hard backed library book which I envisioned so clearly, but I have come a long way and written many journals for my own satisfaction, and articles for business and personal development.
A couple of years ago I discovered the innovative new concept of Ebooks and I had an AHA moment. Here it is, I thought, the way to easily write and share ones knowledge, and the vehicle to publish the book without all of the traditional headaches of the hardback.
Since that first idea to write a book I have moved away from fiction and become a lot more interested in Self-Help, Personal Development and Home Business.
The great news is that the Ebook is perfect for delivering this kind of message. The market for information products and downloadable e books is a hungry one. People no longer want to wait until they go to town to buy that book they have been thinking about.
Sure enough they may still do that too. Selecting and buying books is an enjoyable ceremony that I would not forego, and the sheer pleasure of spending time in a great bookstore is a real treat for many. However even ordering a physical book from Amazon is slow when you want solutions TODAY!
The internet has made everything quick. It’s all about now and there is no need to wait. All the knowledge you will ever need is at your fingertips. You just need to know where to look. Next step is a quick pop on to Google and with a few keywords you can find a ton of information about any subject.
Much of it is not that structured and you may need to jump off on to many different links to try to collate a real picture or find a solution to your issue. That’s where e books come in. For as little as $10 or $20 you can find amazing ebooks, many of them packed full of resources. You can print off the e books to read at your leisure or you can read them online.
From the point of view of writing an ebook it is like all things… easy when you know how! What one isn’t recommended to do is to spend hours writing the material only to understand that there is no market for it. It works backwards and is less of a creative process and more of a mechanical one. Beginning with the end product in mind is much more productive. All successful online marketers know this.
I have discovered an amazing resource which is an essential investment for anyone who is serious about writing and selling ebooks. Ewen Chia is one of the most successful internet marketers and has many brilliant online affiliate programmes and information.

Welcome to my "Working From Home Income" Blog
It seems as though nearly everyone is looking for a way to earn some extra money these days. The main challenge they seem to be up against is the ticking clock! It’s easy to get excited about working from home opportunities and before you know it you’re visualising yourself as a free agent.
9-5 or 8-6 is a thing of the past. You’re there sunning yourself on the balcony (unless you live in the UK of course in which case you would need to find another amusement which is not weather dependent!)
Everything is humming along nicely. You have leisure time to spend with your kids, you can be there for all their school activities, and you’ve even got time to go shopping when all the eager crowds are trapped in their offices. On top of that you actually have money to spend in the shops and can pay cash for everything if you choose. No more nasty old credit card bills squeezing the breath out of you every month.
Life couldn’t be better! Then you jolt back down to earth with a shock as your boss screeches your name and you scurry after him into his office. Aaaaaaaaaaahh …. Working from home. What a nice dream that was – where did it slip away to?
That was how my life looked for rather a long time. From as early in my career as my first day at Barclays Bank as a junior, fresh out of college, I detested being an employee. Strangely enough even with that poor attitude I did rather well. I suppose I just couldn’t see a way out at that point so I just went along with it all and put a good face on things.
It didn’t stop me saving up every penny though, so I could make a quick escape and it wasn’t long before I was off travelling the world on an extended vacation. I had many jobs over the years, some more soul destroying than others. The point was that I always knew there was a way out. I just hadn’t found it yet.
It was at age 33 I was introduced to the concept of residual income. Well actually that isn’t strictly true. I had dabbled with some party plan in my early 20s and the concept of residual income came my way. Unfortunately the actual income didn’t because I wasn’t shown a plan to match the concept.
So I had to wait until age 33 to really GET it! You know what I mean don’t you? When you experience one of those rare moments, that even as you are in it, you just know that absolutely without the shadow of a doubt it is changing your life forever.
Ever since I got the concept and understood the formula, Residual Income = Freedom, I have been hooked. I immediately got into action so I could start producing some of this wonderful residual income. Now I am 39 and very rarely do I even review a business concept if there is no residual income attached to it. I mean why would I? Why would you for that matter?
I started this blog to help people who want to work from home. The aim of the blog is to share with you every aspect of the kind of life you can achieve with the right business model.
Recommended business opportunities and resources will be reviewed here. Money making tips and training information will be shared to help those who are committed to improve their lifestyle and want to learn how to flourish when working from home.

Top 10 Reasons To Work From Home!
1. Freedom
It’s an amazing feeling when you realise that you no longer have to ask permission to go to the dentist! Unless you have experienced the sense of freedom that working from home can give you this may be tricky for you to get your head round. Trust me … you need to try it. Break free and put your plan to Escape the Rat Race together today. There are so many wonderful ways to do it that if you feel like you’re suffocating in the workplace it’s time to go to Plan B.
2. Home and Family Life
You can be there for your family and work your schedule round their very demanding one! It might be young children, elderly parents or perhaps you keep animals. My two children are thankfully very healthy but even so, all children sometimes need to take a day off for various reasons. When I worked for someone else this used to give me stomach ulcers! When we settled in the UK and I discovered how many half-terms and Personal Development days there are I nearly had a nervous breakdown and that’s when I decided to look into working from home.
3. Be Your Own Boss.
The gratification of knowing that you are working hard for your self, not your boss is hard to beat. This is a huge factor in the decision to break free. Many single people don’t need to worry about fitting their schedule round family life but they have other requirements such as wanting to be able to make their own decisions like a grown up. It can often feel like you are a still at school when you need to keep notifying someone else about what you are doing with your time. Being your own boss has its ups and downs but if you’re ready to take responsibility for your own future success then I highly recommend it. You must be self motivated and success minded for this though or you may find yourself becoming a day time soap watching professional…
4. Wake Up When You Are Finished Sleeping!
You can start working when YOU are ready. I used to hate commuting with a passion. I mean really hate it. Now I have time to do a little exercise, perhaps read or meditate early in the morning. Then I walk my daughters to school and settle down with my green tea and laptop. No traffic jams and no stress.
5. Avoid the Nasty British Weather
This may sound silly but I love to avoid the bad weather… Come on let’s face it with the temperamental weather in the UK who wants to have to go out to work in all weathers? Not me anyhow. Unless I have a confirmed appointment I do my work from home on those rainy and windy days, saving my jaunts for the mild days.
6 Work From Home, Not Just At Home
The working at home element is fabulous, and the home-based element means you are allowed to go out and have fun doing your business! My idea of working out of the home these days is attending networking events on subjects of my choice to widen my circle of contacts, or if I’m doing some ‘real’ work I may attend a home business reception for one of my new team members where I sit down and watch a DVD! (Hard labour I think not!)
7 Independent But Not Alone
These days there are so many opportunities to partner with amazing companies with proven business systems, which enable one to be independent and flexible, but to have the training and support to avoid feeling isolated. Let’s also not forget the potential to earn unlimited income with many of these opportunities!
8 Free Of Overheads And No Need To Hold Stock.
This is an incredible benefit when you think how traditional businesses operate. Most new business owners need to be willing to go straight into heavy debt, hold stock, pay staff, premises costs and of course have accounts receivable to keep them up at night biting their nails.
9. Internet Marketing.
The possibilities are endless with the internet and the leveraging of time. I have a mobile paper-free office and can do my business from anywhere. There are so many amazing new communication tools these days – just remember to turn the video camera off when you are working in your pyjamas or having a bad hair day! You can have an international business reaching to almost any corner of the globe. Imagine the possibilities of having a business that operates in different time zones and earns you money while you sleep.
10. Holidays!
Last but just as important! You can book your own holidays in your diary. You can run your own ‘flexi-time’ and work in the middle of the night, dusk or dawn if the fancy takes you and then take the day off in the sunshine (need to make the most of it when it appears!)
